A new lung for the city
Process
1
From microalgae we can obtain pure hydrogen, an element that is difficult to obtain on its own in nature.
2
To grow the microalgae, you only need wastewater, sunlight and carbon dioxide, a polluting gas that the microalgae absorbs and uses as a nutrient.
3
By separating the microalgae from the water, a biomass is obtained, from where the hydrogen is extracted.
4
Using electrolysis, the excess rainwater and the biomass are used to electrochemically extract the hydrogen in the form of a gas.
5
Once stored, the hydrogen can be used as fuel for the metro.
